Week 2

My Current Interests

Lucille Ball is one of my favorite actresses and I Love Lucy is one of my favorite television shows, I have been watching it since before I can even remember thanks to my mom. She is also a huge fan and she’s the reason I began watching the show in the first place. So, when I was in the third grade I received a collectible I Love Lucy Barbie Doll for Christmas. That was the beginning of my I Love Lucy collection and today I have 9 collectible Barbie dolls, each depicting a memorable episode of the show, plus plenty of other collectibles including tee shirts, blankets, a snow globe, a light switch plate, a trashcan, and even an area rug. I Love Lucy is a classic show that will always be funny so I plan on continuing to add to my collection for years to come.

Week 1

My name is Andrea Griffiths, I am 20 years old (almost 21!) and I live in Levittown, PA. This is my third year of college but my first year at the Art Institute. I spent my first two years of school at Bloomsburg University. I had no idea what I wanted to major in but I knew I eventually wanted to work in fashion. So, after two years at Bloom and still no major declared, I decided the Art Institute was where I needed to be.

My major is Fashion Marketing and so far I have loved every second of it. I am learning so much about the industry. I'm still not sure what I want to do after graduation but I'm really excited about all the possibilities. A designer I really admire is Alexander McQueen. While his clothes are not something I would necessarily wear, I think his creations are really beautiful and to me, works of art.
